Columbines do well in filtered sun under trees etc. Sow in early spring or fall. Sow on the surface, as the seed needs light to germinate. Will reseed themselves or cut back after bloom to encourage further growth. Etc: Perhaps the most delicate and ornamental of all wildflowers.
